Garlic and Kale Soup
I made a fast garlic and kale soup tonight for dinner. I pretty much used this recipe, but used potatoes instead of wheat berries, and didn’t add any mushrooms. It really needs mushrooms, if I ever make this again.
Veggie Burrito
I felt like a veggie burrito from Taco Rey for lunch. They use vegetable oil, not lard, for their refried beans.

Yes, I Use Added Oils
I use about 15g of oil a day. When I fry up breakfast or dinner, I use about 8g of oil to cook. When I make a mixing bowl full of Chinese no-chicken salad, I use 8g of sesame oil. This totals (15g/day)(9cal/g) = 135 calories/day. I’m not worried about it. 15g of oil a day may increase my % of calories from fat from 20% to 25%. That still keeps me at a pre-industrial level 🙂

Starch. It’s What’s For Dinner.
I had Top Ramen again for dinner, and a 425g sweet potato, and I made some salad rolls with rice noodles. So with the rice, bean, and veggie burrito, I’m definitely over 2lbs of starch today. I also had some cantaloupe, grapefruit, strawberries, and an apple. Plus, I drank at least a litre of Tab.
